Can I use Swearless without a microphone?
Yes. Choose Log a word on Today. You can also rehearse phrases without recording anything.
Microphone or recognition isn’t working
Use iOS 26 or later on a supported iPhone. Allow microphone access in Settings. Start the session while Swearless is open. On-device recognition may need an initial language-model download; unsupported speech environments can still use manual logging.
Why did monitoring stop?
Calls, microphone route changes and other interruptions can stop a session. Leaving the app can stop monitoring when background monitoring is disabled. Return to the app, read the status and restart when ready.
A word was counted incorrectly
Open Word history to remove it. Recognition can confuse words or nearby voices. Only explicit variants in your tracked list are matched. The supplied catalog is English; it does not translate your speech.
Why is my baseline empty?
It needs two completed days with at least ten monitored minutes each. This is an app default, not a scientific or medical threshold. Counts represent only the recorded time.
How do I export or delete my data?
Open Profile → Privacy. Export a copy before deleting if you want to keep it. Deleting resets the local database. You control exported files and device backups separately.
